Freshman Board Bonding

Hi Frosh Board!

Just wanted to post a picture from our first board bonding activity at Wilmette Bowl! Remember if you have any ideas for a group activity let me know! Sometime after break we will plan to meet with Big Board at Winnetka so you can get to know how the upperclassmen board works and a service group you may want to get more involved in. Keep attending your service groups and send me pictures of your volunteer experiences so we can spread the word about our social service groups :)

Kelvyn Park Exchange Part II

We had an exhausting but truly productive day, full of conversations and important insights. Next week, the teachers involved in the exchange will have a "summit" to discuss how we can build on these initial steps. All of the participating students wrote suggestions for future action.

Remember -- the Kelvyn Park High School visit to New Trier is this THURSDAY. Here is our agenda, via NIU researcher, Cynthia Taines:

• 9:30 am: Arrival and fun welcome exercise 
• 10:00 am: Pairs discussion on experiences and expectations 
• 10:30 pm: Explore the school! 
• 12:15 pm: Delicious lunch (pizza!)
• 12:45 pm: Discussion and New Trier panel
• 2:15 pm: Departure

Packers-Bears Raffle Tickets

Come visit Social Service during the lunch periods starting on Monday or 9th period (Room 017C) to buy raffle tickets for the Bears game on Sunday at Soldier Field.

The pair of seats are in ROW 2 and the raffle tickets cost $3 for one and $5 for two.

Kelvyn Park Exchange: Part I

On November 15th, a small group of our Board members spent the day at Kelvyn Park High School for Part I of an exchange. Part II is Thursday, December 13th, when the students from Kelvyn Park spend the day with us.
